On July 17, in the Xiangtan High-tech Zone, the construction of the 50,000-ton annual production project for power lithium battery adhesive materials by Gaorui Power is in full swing. Under the scorching sun, project leader Yin Huiming introduced, "This project is expected to be completed and put into preliminary production by the end of the year. Once fully operational, the annual output value will exceed 1 billion yuan, and it will be built into a smart manufacturing center for the national lithium battery adhesive materials industry and an innovation center for lithium battery adhesive materials, as well as a technical service platform."

The project is located at the intersection of Xingfu Road and Guanghua Road in the Xiangtan High-tech Zone, and the main construction and acceptance have been completed. On-site, four teams for fire protection, external powder, internal powder, and steel structure, with over 40 workers, are busy and orderly, undeterred by the high temperatures. It is reported that the project has an investment of 110 million yuan, covers an area of 18.76 acres, and has a building area of 8,374.43 square meters. It mainly constructs six buildings including a control R&D center, a Class B production workshop, a fire pump room, a distribution room, a Class C warehouse, and a product warehouse, with production lines for 10,000 tons of diaphragm adhesive, 15,000 tons of silicon-carbon anode and graphite anode adhesive, and 25,000 tons of cathode adhesive.

"Unlike ordinary factories, the Gaorui Power project site has set up fire water pools, underground tank areas, rainwater collection, and accident water pools. 'We are building according to the Class B factory standards for fine chemicals, and the requirements for setback distances and facility equipment are very strict,' Yin Huiming shared a little anecdote with us.
Originally, new projects in the Xiangtan High-tech Zone were required to be built according to sponge city standards, allowing rainwater to seep underground as quickly as possible. However, for fine chemical projects, according to environmental assessment requirements, the first 15 minutes of rainwater must be collected into an initial rainwater collection pool and purified before being discharged. Gaorui Power found itself "caught in the middle" and in a dilemma. After learning about this situation, the Xiangtan High-tech Zone landing office held a coordination meeting with the construction bureau, planning bureau, and environmental protection bureau to support the project, ultimately allowing it to be built according to environmental assessment requirements.
"As a result, the project not only saved some construction costs but also gained support from the park," Yin Huiming expressed. Since the project began, the municipal party committee and government, as well as the leaders of the Xiangtan High-tech Zone, have paid great attention, often checking in. The Xiangtan High-tech Zone, led by district leaders, held progress support meetings specifically for the project, gathering heads of relevant departments to ensure that every construction node is implemented in detail. The project side does not need to "run around" between various departments, allowing them to focus on construction, which is very relieving.
Liu Long, the chief engineer of Gaorui Power, also shares a sense of recognition for the business environment in the Xiangtan High-tech Zone. He told us that Gaorui Power was established in 2011 and is a national high-tech enterprise focused on the R&D, production, and sales of water-based adhesives for lithium batteries. The "soft power" of the Xiangtan High-tech Zone attracted Gaorui Power to relocate from other places and thrive here.
"The domestic new energy vehicle industry is advancing rapidly, and the demand for key materials for lithium batteries—adhesives—is continuously increasing. Gaorui Power currently has an annual production capacity of 5,000 tons, which is far from meeting the industry's demand for adhesives. Our new project will achieve an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons, replacing similar imported products. The 50,000 tons is just the first step; based on subsequent assessments, we will further expand and enhance. Once fully operational, the project will have an annual output value exceeding 1 billion yuan, with an average output value of over 50 million yuan per acre and an average tax revenue of over 3 million yuan per acre." Liu Long is full of confidence about the future of Gaorui Power!
